Christopher Costa

Christopher was born in New York City to Brazilian parents. His interest in immigration law stems from being born to immigrant parents and having lived and worked abroad in Brazil. International business also attracted him early on. He was finally able to immerse himself in this area during a college internship in the wealth management division of a prominent investment bank. There Christopher interned for a Vice President of Investments who worked with mostly Brazilian, Argentinean and Mexican clients. He was very interested in their cross-border business ventures and the next summer, in 2009, he found what truly interested him when he was exposed to the complexities of employment-based immigration laws while working at an import/export company in Brazil. At this company he came into contact with many medium-sized retail and wholesale businesses seeking to expand into the U.S. market. This experience motivated him to position himself to support business owners and companies seeking to transact business across borders as well as individuals seeking to work abroad.

Christopher graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Boston College in 2010 and a Juris Doctor degree from the City University of New York School of Law in 2014. After graduation he began his business immigration career by working as an in-house immigration attorney for a multinational information technology consulting company and then for a multinational corporate immigration law firm. He subsequently transitioned to working at a boutique law firm in New York City specializing in immigration and business services for high net worth foreign investors. There he gained significant experience in tailoring visa applications to best suit the needs of individual clients and became involved in significant business transactions. This experience has helped shape his refined understanding of client business performance and development as he assists them with their immigration needs.
